How to Add a New Product - Non-Live

To be able to add Products to your listing in Hero, make sure to be on the 'Branch Level'. Unsure how to access your branch level? View this article: https://help.hero.travel/en/articles/95741-your-company-branch-menus

Follow the steps below:

1.) Add New Product

From here, click the + Add Product button

2.) Product Name + Duration

  • Add a product name, select the appropriate category and enter the total duration.

  • Select the Add Product button.

3.) Product Info

  • On this page, you will scroll down to fill in the descriptions of the product, highlights, inclusions, important info etc.

  • Fill in mandatory fields and any other fields you deem necessary/important

  • Save

4.) Tags

  • Enter all applicable tags.

  • Save.

5.) Locations

  • Add start/end location.

  • Add waypoints, if any.

  • Add pickup/drop-off locations if offered in the product.

  • Save.

5.) Schedule

  • Click the date you'd like the schedule to start.

  • Give it a name (usually the start time or days the schedule repeats on make the best titles).

  • Enter what time the tour/product begins daily.

  • Enter whether the schedule repeats. And if so, enter how frequently the schedule repeats and on which days. Then add an end date.

  • Click the Create Schedule button.

  • You may repeat this to create as many schedules as necessary. Schedules can be deleted by clicking on them and hitting the Delete button.

5.) Ticketing

  • Select whether product can be booked Dated/Open-dated or both.

  • Select whether to force Addon selection and/or Force a Pickup selection.

  • Enter min/max group size.

  • Enter any Required questions. This can be done by typing into the text box and selecting Add. Make sure to tick on/off which questions are active. Note: Required Questions Per Booking are a good place to enter any T&C you need the pax to be aware of upon booking.

  • Enter any notes for Customers/Agents.

  • Save.

7.) Images / Video

  • Upload images and select the star icon under the image you'd like to become the Featured Image.

  • Go to the videos tab and enter the URL of a YouTube video for the product, if applicable.

  • Save.

Step 8 - Visibility

  • Here you can toggle who you want to be able to view your product

  • Note: If you have a specific agency you'd like a product to not be visible to, or only be visible to but they do not pop up in the list on this page, they will be included in All ungrouped Agencies. You will need to add them as an agency group to toggle their individual visibility. You can learn how to do this here:

8.) Seasons

  • Before adding pricing you will need at least one season added under your branch. You can learn how to do this here:

9.) Pricing

  • Go to Pricing > Edit to set which seasons the product is available for

  • Set which fare types can be booked for each season

  • Set the commission, nett and RRP
