Payment for bookings made via Hero Wholesale

A growing number of Wholesalers now use Hero's technology to facilitate bookings and payments between their own network of international agents and suppliers.

If you have signed a reseller agreement with these wholesalers, or given a wholesaler access to your products within Hero, you will be subject to their payment terms which may differ from the standard Hero payment terms.

Hero's standard payment flow:

For bookings made by travel agencies using Hero directly (ie not via a wholesaler) Hero automatically 'claims' travel vouchers for you the day after the tour or activity starts. All claims made during the week Monday to Sunday are processed and paid to you the following Friday.

Wholesale payment flow:

Each wholesaler will have their own agreed payment terms with their suppliers which may differ to Hero's standard payment terms.

For example, some wholesalers invoice their agents the week or the month prior to the expected travel date, and offer terms of up to 30 days for payment to be received. As a result, Hero may not hold funds for a booking until after the product or service has been provided.

Once Hero receives funds which are cleared into our trust account, any vouchers which are already claimed and due to be paid will be automatically released to suppliers in the next weekly payment run. These bookings will then appear on supplier remittance statements as normal.

A record of all bookings and payments due can be viewed within Hero at any time, and bookings can also be searched for if a supplier wishes to check on the status of payment.
