Agent Groups

Set unique commissions & product visibility settings for certain Agents

Updated over 9 months ago

Suppliers can set standard commission rates in Hero that apply to all agents that make bookings on Hero. If you want to set unique commission rates for specific agents or a group of agents, you can do this by using the Agent Group functionality.

Another way to use the Agent Group functionality is if you want to make certain products visible to a specific agent/group of agents. Find examples and instructions on how to set this up below!

Step 1.) To view and manage your Agent Groups, use the drop-down menu (top-right) to switch to your Company level (Brand) e.g. Hero.

Step 2.) On the left hand side, select Agent Groups from the sidebar. On this page, hit the Add Agent Group button.

Step 3.) Create a group name and search for the agents in the list that are receiving a special commission rate and tick the box.

Step 4.) Click on the dropdown menu under Adjustment Type.

The most commonly used adjustment types are:
- Fixed Percentage (=give a higher fixed percentage % for all products).
- Adjustable Percentage (=bonus commission added on top of the default commission set for all agents. This option is also used if you have different commission % per product for this specific agent group. You can then simply keep it at 0% and manually adjust this per product).

Step 5.) Select the Adjustment Type and set the commission. Example below:

Once adjustments are set by the supplier, they’re instantly available on Hero.

Should an agent receive an increase in commission, the product will appear within their search results with red love heart, indicating that the supplier has given them a little bit of love, and a bonus commission is in place.

The example below shows a product with a commission bonus applied.

Want to make adjustments on a per product basis?

Navigate to the Pricing - Edit page.

Click on the Agent Groups tab.

3 Options to choose from:

1.) Apply Agent Group Adjustments to this Product = This means that the Agent Group % set up at the company level applies to this product.

2.) Do not apply Agent Group Adjustments = This means that the % set up on the Agent Group page won't apply. The standard commission loaded for ALL agents will apply.

3.) Override Agent Group Adjustments for this Product/Season=Select from the dropdown whether you want to apply a fixed or adjustable % for this specific product.

Always check the Pricing Summary to make sure that you have set up the commissions correctly.
