For many live products, when choosing a date and time, you'll see availability next to the timeslot, i.e. 8:00 (50+ seats). Here's an example.

This logic differs for products that are sold with 'variants'. A variant means that a variation of the product must be selected in order to make a booking. Here's an example.
If variations exist for a live product, in the time-picker, the number of seats available is simply shown as 'Seats available'.
This is because each variation of the product may have unique availability and the total availability for the product is not necessarily the sum of all variants. (In some cases, variants will share availability and so forth).
Hero can't automatically determine this logic, so 'Seats available' is shown to indicate to agents that various levels of inventory exist depending upon the variant chosen in the next step.
In the next step, agents select a variant and can see the availability for each. Here's an example.
If you're connecting to Hero via API, when querying the base product, you will receive the availability of the variant with the highest availability.
